Sales employment set for boost as recession eases
Sales employment could become more accessible in the near future after it has been suggested that the worst of the recession is now coming to an end.
The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) has said its survey has shown "welcome progress" in the development of businesses in recent months, suggesting that the worst of the recession is already behind us, which could help increase the availability of sales jobs.
Although official figures have shown that the manufacturing sector slowed by 0.5 per cent in May, experts have nonetheless suggested that the overall market is more positive than it has been for many months and that could give rise to a strong future ahead.
However, the BCC warned that businesses should remain relatively cautious and should not get ahead of themselves in searching for the recovery.
The organisation warned that although the worst of the recession is now apparently over, a recovery is not yet guaranteed.
Meanwhile, one recruitment agent has warned people that sales jobs and other employment opportunities may not come flooding back immediately.
Alistair Cox, head of Hays, told the Financial Times that people will need to be patient while looking for a new job, even now that the worst of the recession is over.
